This week has been an interesting one. On Tuesday, we watched a short movie in sociology as part of our assessment. We all had to live-tweet our reactions to the movie, and we then need to write an essay based of these tweets, which is worth 100% of our grade. To be honest, I would rather have the essay be worth 50% and then have an exam at the end of the semester to make up the other 50%. I know I’m going to find it hard to write an essay good enough to get a substantial grade, but I’ll try my best. How hard can it be?
As I mentioned in my last post, I had a presentation to do in class as part of my radio module. It went much better than expected, thank god! I also had all my interviewees get back to me, so hopefully I can start interviewing them next week. I’m really looking forward to learning how to edit audio, as I think it’ll come in handy with my future career in journalism. I think audio editing, along with the indesign and photoshop we’ve been doing, should be taught at some stage in secondary schools as I think the skills you learn with these softwares are really useful to have, do you agree?
All in all, it’s been an interesting week, I can’t believe I’m a third of the way through the semester already! Bring on the summer!
